What is it?
As a part of the Belgian participation in the programmes of the European Space Agency, the Belgian government decided to allocate 100 million euros from the Defence budget to certain ESA programmes and activities meeting Belgian security and defense needs in the period 2023-2027.
Who can apply?
Private or public companies and institutions, including start-ups (through ESA business incubation centres).
ESA has introduced a SME initiative to encourage their entry into the space sector. It includes a number of funding instruments for new technology development.
How to apply?
The classical ways of working of ESA remain fully applicable. Periodic and permanent calls for proposals and announcements of opportunity across a range of ESA technology programmes will be launched through the ESA Electronic Mail Invitation to Tender System.
