What is the NATO Innovation Fund?
The NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) is a multi-sovereign venture capital fund aimed at boosting the Alliance’s innovation ecosystems. This investment company with variable capital supports innovators in the private and public sectors. The fund is created with contributions from 24 participating NATO nations, adding up to 1 billion euros over a period of 15 years.
The NIF invests, directly and indirectly, in start-ups developing emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs) primarily geared for commercial markets that also have potential defence and security applications and which fit under one or more of NATO’s defined EDTs. The NIF prioritises investments in start-ups accelerated by the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic.

Start-up looking for investment, accelerator, corporate, co-investor, incubator, tech-transfer office, university or other ecosystem innovator.
